It is first important to understand that both of these powerful medicines have been heavily stigmatized for many years. The Matrix Systems are aware of how healing they are, and how detrimental these medicines have the potential to be for the pharmaceutical companies.
It is also worth nothing they have been used for thousands of years by indigenous cultures, and are 100% naturally found in their specific environments.
So it is completely normal to have feelings of fear or hesitation around these sacred natural medicines. The fear based programs that have been run on humanity are unfortunately intentional, consistently conditioning us to look towards authority figures in The Matrix for answers and not going within using our own powerful intuition. This is also to keep feeding the pharmaceutical system, which is a billion dollar empire.
However, the Spirit of these medicines and the Spirit within you is stronger than anything man-made, and these medicines are making their way to the souls that feel called to experience them. You are not reading these words by accident. Thank you for curiosity, strength, and courage it has taken to even take you this far into the world of these beautiful plant teachers/healers.
What is Ayahuasca?
*First and foremost I must point out it is incredibly important to trust the Shamans that are in charge of facilitating and working with this sacred medicine. It is essential that the intention is pure, and the training is adequate. This is why we partnered with Master Shaman Danilo Jimenez, with over 20 years of training in the Colombian Jungle, and thousands of profoundly healing ceremonies, he is truly a Master of his craft- and the embodiment of unconditional love and nonjudgement. Anyone that has had the blessing of meeting this anointed soul knows this to be true at the deepest levels.
*I also want to note, this is the medicine that has healed Maegen at the deepest levels, and hundreds in our ceremonies of the last few years. I, David Joseph, have never witnessed anything as profound and divine in my life as I have in the Ayahuasca ceremonies
Ayahuasca is a South American Psychoactive brew used both socially and a ceremonial healing medicine among the indigenous people of the Amazon. It is a psychedelic and entheogenic commonly made out of the banisteriopsis caapi vine, the psychotria viridis shrub .
The name “ayahuasca” is made up of two words- aya and wasca-derived from the Quechua language, where aya means soul or ancestors, and wasca (huasca) means vine or rope. Most people of South America also refer to it as “vine of the soul.”
Also known as the tea, the vine, and la purga, Ayahuasca is mostly taken in the form of tea, which is made by brewing the leaves of Psychotria viridis shrub and the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine. These two are the most important ingredients. Though other plants and ingredients are also used depending on the usage and preferences.
The Ayahuasca drink has been used by the people of South America since ancient times for spiritual and religious purposes. The people of the Amazonian tribes and some religious communities in Brazil and North America, use it for performing some religious ceremonies. An experienced healer who leads Ayahuasca ceremonies called shaman or curandero prepares the brew for performing the rituals. The brew is boiled till the time it is reduced to the healers’ liking and the process is repeated until they get a highly concentrated liquid.
People have successfully used ayahuasca to cure all kinds of physical ailments including chronic and terminal illness such as tumors and cancer. There is not much in the way of hard scientific data to verify this claim, but if you speak to anyone who has significant experiences with ayahuasca, they will most likely tell you that they’ve personally witnessed a high number of incredible healings take place.
Ayahuasca is even more effective at healing mental and emotional issues. Most people have experienced some form of trauma in their lives such as physical, emotional or sexual abuse, or the loss of a loved one, and ayahuasca is often incredibly effective at helping them get over whatever issues that still remain.
It’s not uncommon to hear people claim that just one ayahuasca ceremony was far more effective and beneficial to them than 10 years of psychotherapy!
Here is a fantastic documentary about this powerful medicine- the Director is Michael Zapolin, who we interviewed on Season 1 Episode 22 of the Maegical Healing The World Podcast!
What are Psilocybin Mushrooms?
Psilocybin mushrooms have been used for thousands of years and have an extensive history of both medicinal and ceremonial use among indigenous peoples in many parts of the world, including Europe, the Amazons, and the Americas.
They were re-popularized in 1957, when a photo essay featuring an American banker and mushroom enthusiast R. Gordon Wasson was published in LIFE Magazine. Four years earlier, Wasson had stumbled across an indigenous tribe using psychoactive mushrooms in Mexico while on vacation and brought back a sample that he then sent to the Swiss chemist known for discovering LSD, Albert Hofmann. Hofmann isolated psilocybin and developed a synthesis for the drug in his lab at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, which then started producing 2 mg pills to be distributed for research purposes.
For the next 20 years thousands of doses of psilocybin were administered in clinical experiments. Psychiatrists, scientists and mental health professionals considered psychedelics like psilocybin to be promising treatments as an aid to therapy for a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses, including alcoholism, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression. Many more people were also introduced to psilocybin mushrooms and other psychedelics as part of various religious or spiritual practices, for mental and emotional exploration, or to enhance wellness and creativity.
The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies is an American nonprofit organization working to raise awareness and understanding of psychedelic substances- they have published countless articles and studies on the extreme benefits of psilocybin on the brain.
