David and Maegen set the stage for the most profound life changing experience I’ve ever been through! The Belize retreat was beyond amazing. I was immersed in a beautiful new world full of fun adventures mixed in with intense healing. I felt a sense of overwhelming high vibrational happiness and the environment was very conducive for total relaxation. Hard to believe that could all be possible in the same trip. The awesome plant medicine ceremonies expanded my consciousness like never before, while being surrounded by nature in one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been. I can’t fully express my deep appreciation for the top notch resort services, amazing facilitators and support team, and the truly gifted healing shamans that touched our hearts with their love and dedication. Kerri Walsh Jennings2024-04-05A little context re: my life - 95% of my inner and outer life & life experiences have been amazing. First class. Full of love and support. In theory, I didn’t belong at Maegical because the “trauma” lived and healing necessary were so minor, relatively speaking. Yet, I was called to the medicine, I believe, because of this crossroads and transition that I’m at and also because I’m determined to live in a state of “ever upward & forever forward” - no regression. I sincerely believe this is how it is meant to be and I knew in my heart that I had some healing & letting go to do to allow me to live in alignment with this belief. I have been a pro athlete for 20+ years. I just retired. I have been a mom for nearly 15 years and have 3 beautiful kids. I have been married for nearly 20 Years and have been through and grown through so much within each of those areas of my life. I’m as normal as can be, living a beautiful life of a 45 year old woman - an Ayahuasca retreat?! At times it felt silly to be considering such a thing. It felt selfish. It felt out of place. Yet it called to me. I believe that we should all feel good within our selves, our lives and our days. For the past few years I’ve had this subtle undercurrent of dissatisfaction within. My life is beautiful and full of my most favorite people/things and yet … I’ve had subtle yet chronic unease, illness and a sense of “I want to BE & to FEEL better”. I didn’t want to accept this new status quo of feeling “less than” I was before. I desire the opposite! And so, I’ve been talking to God and my higher self for months - asking for guidance and opportunities to experience myself in a new way - less encumbered, lighter, more free, more connected, it felt divinely guided, my body and spirit were healed by it and my mind was fortified. One of the coolest things (IMO) is that, while there, you have to continually CHOOSE to opt in to these experiences that you know will bring you varying levels of discomfort. I always want to choose discomfort when given the choice because it less to growth. Man, it’s hard sometimes. Some parts were not fun. All parts were essential. I opted in for all of it. It wasn’t easy to keep saying yes - I fought it a bit - David helped remind me of why I was there and he encouraged me to follow through on that commitment. He embodies his message - I trusted him in those moments when I was wavering and that allowed for so much. The MAEGICAL team is absolutely amazing. What a fantastic group of timeless, discerning, professional and wise guides and way-showers. They were there for me anytime I needed it - they are so attentive - and they would show up and support when things felt overwhelming. I was never alone, they reminded me of my strength and to ask for support from my spirit team. When I wanted to pass or ask for the burden to be taken from me - they shared with me the perfect words that calmed my mind and allowed me to lean into my faith and to work through those temporary yet tough moments. Long story short, I left thinking once would likely be enough. That I’m on my way and that my time at Maegical was powerful enough to sustain me throughout the rest of my life. That perspective has shifted a bit in that I plan on experiencing a Maegical retreat at least once a year. I want to embody my highest self. I want to open up My divine Chanel and capabilities. I can’t think of a better group of guides and authentic leaders than those at Maegical. The respect and appreciation I have for them and their obvious dedication, devotion & sincerity for this healing movement is deep and true and I’ll be honored to carry on my journey with them.
